Ima von Wenden

Poet
"Poetry is the language of the soul."

I have been writing poetry since my childhood, since the 1970s. I always found it easy and natural to get the ideas, words, rhymes, rhythms, images, and allegories that helped me express what was on my mind.

Difficult moments, heartaches, anxieties, dreams, and hopes fuelled my poetry best. Sometimes I would go years without writing a verse. And then all of a sudden, I could spend days and weeks writing numerous poems.

I was delighted to meet Robin some years ago and discover him as an artist and a poet, a living style icon and a philosopher with a sensitive soul and deep, insightful judgement.

I greatly value his friendship, his work, and his company. Without exaggeration, I consider him my soulmate.

Ima von Wenden is a poet and DANDEMONIUM contributor whose writing explores poetry as the language of the soul, shaped by memory, heartache, dreams, hope, friendship and emotional expression.
